There are four types of ukulele: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone. They range in size from the smallest, soprano at 21 inches, to the largest, baritone at 33 inches. Ukuleles are tuned by pegs at the top of the neck, just as guitars do and have a hole in the body for the resonating sound to come out.
There doesn't seem to be as much concern about the types of wood used to create the ukuleles as there is regarding guitars. Because the sound is meant to be mellow, volume and resonance are not as big an issue as they are with guitar players.
This double ukelele is a 16 nylon stringed uke with local carvings on the body. All ukelele's are individually handcarved therefore each is unique. Prices range depending on the type of ukelele.
